I need to update this more

I really do need to update more. But I haven't felt like writing anything. I have weird moods where I switch between different compulsions, like watching a lot of TV, or reading a lot, or writing down something right then, or paying attention to the world around me.

The highlights of the last 3 months: getting out of Waco (finally!) and moving to Euless (DFW area), going to Six Flags twice now (I have a season pass and definitely recommend getting a Flash Pass if you go), going to Medieval Times (John didn't like it), and realizing I need a job soon before the money runs out.

My parents think I don't have the drive necessary to get a good job or have a good career. I'm starting to agree with them. Nothing sounds appealing, or at least nothing really grabs me and screams "Do this for the rest of your life!", but let's be honest - nobody really wants to work. I'm just trying to live a little bit of that dream for as long as I can without getting ex-communicated from my family. :)

I added a countdown to my blog page, off to the right. I'm pretty much obsessed with the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and the fourth (and last) book comes out August 2nd, so I decided I had to know exactly how many milliseconds were left before I could read it. Check the series out, if you're into that sort of thing.

Cute Pics

I found these on Icanhascheezburger.com and thought they were hilarious and cute. Hope you like them! Later.

Geez.

I realize it's been forever and a day since I've last posted. I'm sorry about that, but when your life holds nothing new or exiciting, it's hard to find the energy to make stuff up.

It's closing in on graduation day and everyday I swear at least one person asks me if I've secured a job yet. (My answer is still no, btw.) Apparently I'm unlikable to employers. This happens to me everytime I start applying to jobs - I go through a lot of postings and applications and then finally find a great job just when I'm about to start going crazy with worry. I haven't reached the crazy-with-worry stage yet, so have some patience people. I'll let you know when I get that job, okay?

In other news, I went to the Cameron Park Zoo yesterday with John (the boyfriend). I also happened to be the presence of mind to bring my camera, so I have some updated shots of me and John...and the animals at the zoo. If you're my friend on Facebook you'll be able to view them, and you may notice my hair has gotten outrageously long. I think this is the longest it's been, ever...as in my entire lifetime. If anyone has trouble thinking of a good gift/present for me, $ for a haircut would be greatly appreciated. I don't have $60 just laying around, so putting up with the hair length is my only option right now. I also want to add some red highlights, since my blonde ones are growing out, which is another $40. (hint, hint)

Oh! The best thing about this past weekend was definitely the fact that the 4th Season of Doctor Who started! Now some may say the best thing was really the 4th Season of Battlestar Galactica starting, and in case that happens you should just slap them and walk away because they are wrong. It was Doctor Who, not BSG. And I don't know much about Catherine Tate, but apparently she had a sketch comedy show on the BBC for a while. I just hope her and the doctor don't hook up...

I guess that's good enough for now. I'm going to have to go to lunch pretty soon anyway.

Until later.

My New Year's Resolution

So here I am on the first day of the new year contemplating. John's just left to go back to Mississippi, once again leaving me alone.

Connecting with someone for as long as I have with John is new to me. I don't know where this will go or, with me graduating this semester and at long last leaving Waco, what will happen, but I hope I'm happy.

I guess that's my new year's resolution - to be happy with my life and the decisions I make.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season. Personally I'm glad it's over. The holidays always make me a bit bored....Anyway, later.

Best Two-Line Book Summary Ever

I felt like I had to share this with someone. It was too amazingly awesome to keep to myself.

Ready?

I'm telling you it's awesome. So I want you to be prepared...

Okay.

"He's a shape-shifting wolf, she's a psychic and his other half. In order to catch a killer, Caelen has to rely on his 'Seeing Eye Mate'."

I hope you read it in a summer blockbuster movie announcer's voice. That's really the only way to read it. Lol. Love it.

Thanksgiving's Next Week

I can't believe that. It seems really early this year. Of course, it doesn't help that the temperature is only just now getting cold enough for me to think it's not summer.

So...found this place that wallpapers a room in an entirely new way. It's actually really cool what they do.
They figure out how much something on the wall will behave like 'force-fields' on the wallpaper pattern and distort it accordingly. Very strange, but cool, and very expensive.
-
Anyway, my life is pretty much the same, except for one thing. John left this week to go do Air Force things. And by 'left', I mean he's not going to be in this great state of Texas after tomorrow (Saturday).

And boy does this WGA strike suck...no more new "The Office" episodes...crying to start...now.
